Summary:
OPM was commissioned to provide high-level technical assistance to the Deputy Prime Minister’s Poverty Reduction Strategy Implementation Focal Point (PRS IFP) of the Government of the Republic of Serbia to oversee, coordinate and facilitate the implementation of the PRS. This involved the delivery of three outputs: to strengthen and deepen the PRS ownership and real commitment in parliament and civil society and among local government representatives, trade unions, businesses and international development partners; to speed up the rate of implementation of present PRS in five key line ministries – the ministries of Education, Health, Agriculture, Economy and Labour, Employment and Social Policy; and to support advocacy by the Deputy Prime Minister and his cabinet within the wider government on the need to address the issue of including a poverty-focused function within any new central policy coordination.
