Summary:
As part of a consortium led by ECORYS Nederland, and in collaboration with a local partner Co-PLAN, OPM is implementing the Integrated Support to Decentralisation (ISD) project in the Republic of Albania. The overall objective of the ISD project is, in compliance with the national cross-cutting strategy for regional development and EU regional development and cohesion policies and instruments, to contribute to the harmonisation of national efforts and building of capacities and institutions for regional development. More specifically, it is expected that the ISD project will support:
- and strengthen adequate institutional, legal and administrative frameworks at central and local levels for the implementation of a regional development policy coherent with the relevant requirements of the CSRD and EU Instrument for Pre-Ascension Assistance funds management.
- It will also provide financial support in selected areas to improve local public infrastructure by means of co-financing priorities identified within the above regional development framework processes.
