OPM was commissioned to study international monitoring process and to highlight areas for possible improvement. This briefing note reports on OPM's findings on the current weaknesses of MDG indicators, the level of data available and whether those data are comparable over time and between places. Recommendations are then made on priority areas for improvement that could be undertaken by development agencies.
