This briefing note presents the key findings of the Primary Health and Family Planning Social Sector Performance Survey (SSPS). The national survey covered both Directorate General of Health and Directorate General of Family Planning Services, looking at primary level services, in particular, those provided by upazila health complexes (UHC) and union-level facilities. The survey provides a current assessment of service delivery and resource flows and provides a baseline for developments over the coming years. This note outlines the survey's overall conclusions and specific findings on service delivery volume and quality, user perceptions and experience, budgeting and financial management, human resources, drug supplies and equiptment and maintenance.
