Aly Visram

Biography

Aly Visram is a consultant within OPM’s Surveys, Statistics and Evidence-based Policy portfolio. He has an MSc Public Health in Developing Countries from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, focussing his studies in the fields of epidemiology and evaluation. He has two years research experience with the Aga Khan University where he supported the development and implementation of a randomised controlled trial investigating models of nutrition education in rural Pakistan. He also worked on various projects that included conducting children’s rights’ workshops and analysing the quality of family planning services in primary health centres in the squatter settlements of Karachi. In Tanzania, he worked with Population Services International and a number of community based organisations on a malaria prevention campaign. Aly’s recent projects at OPM include supporting analysis of the Tanzania Household Budget Survey and the evaluation of the orphans and vulnerable children cash transfer programme in Kenya.
