Biography
Evelyn Dietsche is a lecturer at the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) at the University of Dundee. She teaches and researches on the public policy challenges of natural resource countries.
Before she joined CEPMLP (April 2006) she had worked as a full time consultant for OPM for more than 3 years. Her work areas cover the extractive industries, public sector and financial management reforms, political economic analyses and development policy studies. One of Evelyn's major assignments has been the Resource Endowment Initiative for the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM). Other assignments have taken her to different countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, the West Indies and the Middle East. She was also an ODI fellow in the Ministry of Finance in Namibia (2000-2002). Evelyn is currently working towards a PhD and has postgraduate degrees in development economics (SOAS, UK) and public policy and management (Konstanz, Germany).
