Biography

Juan Munoz is the founder and managing partner of Sistemas Integrales, a consulting firm created and based in Santiago, Chile, in 1970. The firm is responsible for research and development projects in the areas of computer science and statistics, applied to health, nutrition and the social sciences. As a consultant for universities, governments, international organisations and private enterprises, Juan has been in charge of the design, implementation, steering and analysis of censuses and national income and expenditure, nutritional and demographic surveys in over 70 countries. He has been involved in the World Bank Living Standards Measurement Study since its inception in 1983 and is a regular lecturer in the World Bank internal training programme on Living Standards Surveys.
