Lawrence Smith is a highly qualified and experienced agricultural policy analyst.His recent work has focused on institutional reform in the agricultural and rural sectors and the relative roles of the public and private sectors in this process.Previously he worked extensively on Agricultural Sector Adjustment. He is an expert in agricultural marketing policy and analysis having written extensively on aspects of agricultural marketing.He also has an extensive knowledge of food security and rural employment issues.He is the Emeritus Professor of Agricultural Economics at the and has a significant record of training in agricultural policy analysis as well as undertaking assignments for multilateral organisations advising on a variety of policy issues.
