Ludovico Carraro

Biography

Dr Ludovico Carraro is a principal consultant at OPM specialised in welfare analysis and social assistance, and monitoring and evaluation of project impact assessments, especially on living standards. He has provided technical assistance and advice in the area of poverty monitoring and analysis in many countries (including Albania, People’s Republic of China, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Pakistan and the Slovak Republic). He is currently working on the design and implementation of a food stamp programme in Mongolia and leading the monitoring and evaluation component of the social assistance reform project in Moldova. Recently he led the assessment of social assistance benefits in Serbia and worked on the design and analysis of various project beneficiary impact assessments (Basic Education in Western Areas Project in China, Conditional Cash Transfers in Kenya and Lady Health Workers’ project in Pakistan). He also worked as a short-term lecturer in economics at the University of Bologna and the University of Venice, and in research methods and econometrics at the Beijing Normal University.
