Mark Essex

Biography

Mark Essex is an economist with seven years work experience of which four were in developing countries. Mark works as a Consultant in the Public Sector Finance and Management Programme of OPM and has worked on the DFID funded Armenia Regional Development Project (ARDEP); provided support to the development of a Medium Term Expenditure Framework in the occupied Palestinian territories; and Medium Term Budgetary Framework in Sri Lanka. Mark has broad public financial management and budgeting experience gained as an ODI fellow in the Department of Treasury, Papua New Guinea, and has worked on public sector reform initiatives in Papua New Guinea, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Immediately prior to joining OPM Mark worked as policy advisor on an AusAID technical assistance project in Papua New Guinea.
