Meenu Bhalla has gained over 19 years' experience in the field of administration and finance as an Accounts and Administration Officer. Before joining OPM, Meenu worked with Ekatra (a not-for-profit organisation) as the Head of Finance. During her tenure of 14 years, she handled various projects and also assisted in various fieldwork, exhibitions, film making and conferences. In her capacity as Bursar, Meenu trained accounts department personnel in grassroots-level NGOs and assisted in coordinating and conducting training with, for example, Sanjeevani and Didis in Haryana. Meenu worked independently on the finance for the production of ‘Uska Anna’, a feature film on female feticide and 'Teesra Rasta' a feature film about the dowry system. She has extensive experience in dealing with development sector accounts, especially for NGOs and has worked with the Centre for Worker’s Management evaluating their Tsunami Project in 2005, which was implemented in Nagapatnam. She also worked with M/S Charnalia Bhatia and Gandhi Chartered Accountants from 1992 to 1997 as an accountant, dealing in book-writing (Voucher, Cash Book, Ledger, Balance Sheet, Utilisation Statement) for several NGOs- (the Centre for Worker’s Management, Mamta, Creative Learning for Change and Ankuran) and has undertaken numerous audits under CBG guidance. Meenu has also worked with VANI as a full-time Accounts Assistant.
