Biography
Since joining OPM in autumn 2005, Mickie has worked on assignments in various sectors and countries. She has recently been involved in: public finance management and public administration workstream coordinator in a multi-year project in Moldova to support to effective and sustainable delivery of social assistance services; is Course Director of a national budget learning programme for UNICEF, a review of economic policies of Anguilla; an evaluation of integrated planning and budgeting system in Serbia; public finance management support to primary health care reforms in Georgia, support for the development of a 10-year plan for education in Ethiopia; an aid absorption capacity study in Yemen. Prior to her appointment at OPM she was an Overseas Development Institute Fellow working within the Budget Division of the South African National Treasury. Her work involved a wide range of issues concerning the preparation of the national budget, which included analysing trade-offs, providing advice on the allocation of resources and helping prepare budget documentation for parliament and the broader public. Mickie holds an MSc in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford.
