Mike Jones

Biography

Mike Jones has worked with OPM since 2002, and is an established consultant in healthcare leadership and management, with a background in healthcare general management and planning in the UK National Health Service. Mike has worked as an academic in health planning at post-graduate level, and has also been engaged in consulting worldwide. He is a visiting Professor at Middlesex University Business School and has a senior academic role at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.

Working mainly with various Health Services in the U.K. and overseas, in both training and consultancy projects, his activities have mainly been focused on reform and capacity development, either in whole system reforms and reconfigurations, or applied to specific services or institutions. He has conducted several service reviews and evaluations of Mental Health Services, Learning Disability Services, Drug Abuse Services, Primary Care Services and Clinical Management Structures, Business Case Processes and role reconfigurations. He has also prepared a number of high value business cases.
