Biography
Nils Riemenschneider has worked on surveys for more than 12 years, and brings extensive experience in project management, survey design, analysis, presentation and reporting to a team. He works particularly on monitoring and impact evaluations. For example, he is currently managing a four year Monitoring and Evaluation study of an Integrated Human Development Project. It draws both on routine administrative data and beneficiary assessments (quantitative and qualitative surveys linked via a scorecard approach) to monitor and evaluate project impact. In the recent mid term survey he pioneered the use of Ultra Mobile Personal Computers for data collection, increasing data quality and speed of data delivery. He is working in range of sectors, including social protection (particularly cash transfers), health, education, community development and employment both in Africa and Asia.
Prior to his work at OPM he set up a department for data analysis and survey design at an international market research company, conducting a range of monitoring and evaluation studies. He is particularly interested in bringing business tools to the development work.
