Patrick Ward

Biography

Patrick Ward leads the Statistics and Evidence Based Policy Portfolio. He has extensive experience in designing, managing and analysing large quantitative surveys in the social sectors and for poverty monitoring. His work includes the provision of support to national statistical offices in the implementation of multi-sector household surveys, often involving extensive dialogue with users, including other government departments and donors, on the implications of the findings for national policies and programmes. He also undertakes sector-specific work on the monitoring and evaluation of sector programmes, particularly in health. This has included the design and analysis of service delivery and expenditure tracking surveys focussed on the service delivery unit and the administrative system behind it.
