Biography
Philippe Breul is a highly experienced mobile telecommunications specialist with an extensive practical knowledge of the mobile phone business and of mobile phone banking throughout the world, particularly in Africa. Philippe has qualifications in engineering, business, economics and microfinance. He worked for 14 years as a mobile telecommunications executive, latterly mainly in Africa, as Vice President for African Market Development of France Télécom, before which he was Marketing and Communication Director for Orange in Senegal and Commercial Director for Orange in Mali. Philippe is now putting his experience to use as a consultant supporting the development of mobile telecommunications and banking in Africa and elsewhere, having worked on a range of consultancy assignments in Bangladesh, Egypt, western Africa (Mauritania, Senegal, Guinea, Mali, Togo, Benin, Ghana, Nigeria), central Africa (Chad, Guinea, Gabon), eastern Africa (Kenya, Tanzania) and southern Africa.
