Biography
Sabine Garbarino, formerly Sabine Weinzierl, is a consultant within OPM's social development portfolio.
She joined OPM in 2004 and has since then been involved in a range of consultancy and research assignments including analysing accountability relationships in Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo and a study on the robustness of corruption indices and the nature of successful anti-corruption initiatives. Most recently she has been working on several assignments for the World Bank's Social Development department including analysing political economy issues for selected World Bank operations and a project on tools for institutional, political and social analysis (TIPS).
Sabine is currently working on the DFID-financed social assistance reform project in Moldova where she supports a broad stakeholder consultation to inform and promote an inclusive policy making process. Sabine holds an M.A. in political sciences, a Master in international development and a Diploma in Economics from the LSE.
