Biography
Sachin Gupta is an experienced consultant and project manager with many international programmes for government, civil society and the private sector, with specialist skills in change management and institutional development. He is a Senior Consultant in OPM’s Public Management and Accountability team and has over 12 years consulting experience in a range of countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America, as well as the UK.
Most recently he has been resident in Nigeria, managing a World Bank funded project to strengthen the Public Service Staff Development Centre in Lagos and several DFID-funded projects to strengthen public services, including establishing a federal Public Services Inspection Team, a national Service Delivery Training Institute, and a Road Safety initiative, bringing together a coalition of agencies to provide ‘one-stop’ services. He has also managed a functional review of the Sudan Ministry of Justice and a series of training courses for senior members from the Justice sector in Sudan.
Previously he was the Senior Technical Advisor for Civil Society Development for the International HIV/AIDS Alliance, developing policy and practical training and toolkits, and providing technical support to strengthen civil society engagement in over 26 countries. He has also worked as resident OD and Finance advisor to the national Planned Parenthood Association of South Africa, and before that as a Senior Consultant with Arthur Andersen Business Consulting delivering projects in organisational strategy, change management, and economic and regulatory analysis. Sachin is a qualified Chartered Accountant, and an experienced workshop facilitator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
