Biography
Shafique Arif is Director of Surveys and Research for OPM in Islamabad. An expert in monitoring and evaluation, he has a particular interest in programmes in reproductive health and action-based social research. He has worked on a number of research studies as study director, study coordinator, data analyst and office coordinator and has had the opportunity to work as a member of many field research teams. Shafique has also worked as a consultant with a number of organisations. He has expertise in study design, questionnaire development, supervising and coordinating field activities, data analysis and report writing. He has also directed a number of national surveys. Shafique is currently undertaking management of the fieldwork activities for a Baseline Survey on the Benazir Income Support Programme and is just beginning to mobilise the fieldwork teams across Pakistan.
