Biography
Shafique Arif is a social researcher with 19 years experience in conducting surveys in Pakistan. He holds a Masters degree in Population & Reproductive Health Research and another Masters degree in Finance. He worked with the Population Council and ShoreBank International before joining OPM.
With specific expertise in reproductive health, particularly maternal and newborn health research, Mr Arif has conducted surveys on sensitive issues like abortion, sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS, etc. He has expertise in survey design and implementation including questionnaire development, sampling design, data management and data analysis. He has managed national level household and facility based surveys as well as qualitative surveys in Pakistan.
He is currently working on a Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) in one of the provinces of Pakistan. He is also directing a national level household survey for the evaluation of the National Programme for Family Planning and Primary Health Care, Pakistan.
