Simon Brook

Biography

Simon Brook joined OPM in 2006 as a social development consultant within OPM's Social Policy Programme. Simon currently works on participation; qualitative and participatory methods for poverty and policy analysis; monitoring and evaluation; and civil society strengthening. Since 1998 he has worked with local NGOs in the Philippines on sustainable agriculture and natural resource management, community development and participatory planning, agrarian reform, and local governance; as a freelance consultant on the Pakistan Participatory Poverty Assessment (DfID), on monitoring empowerment (World Bank) and on tools for institutional, political and social analysis (DfID); and with Oxfam GB as Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator on their tsunami humanitarian response programme in Aceh, Indonesia. Simon has an MSc (Econ) in social development planning and management.
