Biography

Zoe joined OPM in 2011 after finishing her Master of Science in International Business, Energy and Petroleum at Aberdeen University, funded by the Carnegie Foundation Scholarship. Her dissertation focused on how oil source funds combined with the EITI initiative can help combat the phenomenon of the “resource curse” in developing countries. Her work experience includes competitive tendering in the development sector, consultancy and various internships. Zoe has lived and studied overseas in Paris, Zambia and Vanuatu, and has excellent communication and organisation skills that enable her to liaise effectively with clients, donors and stakeholders at all levels; and, to provide high quality and timely research assistance to a wide variety of projects. Since joining OPM Zoe has worked on a World Bank-funded study on Mining in Tanzania, and a large DFID-funded project on Governance in Nigeria’s oil sector.
