Under this framework contract, OPM was engaged by Sida to provide tehnical assistance throughout the world in seven areas of financial sector policy: Financial Sector Policy and Analysis, Microfinance in general, Housing Finance, Rural Finance, Financial Sector Infrastructure, Financial Institutions and Risk Management, and Investments through Local Capital Markets. Under the contract, OPM carried out projects including advising Sida's Financial Systems Group on the design, appraisal, monitoring and evaluation of financial sector projects funded by Sida, a review of the financial sector in the West Bank and Gaza, and the development of an exit strategy for the credit component of an agricultural programme in Nicaragua.
