OPM provided and led a team to undertake a Poverty and Social Impact Assessment (PSIA) of microfinance policy in Pakistan. The study examined the impact of policy and of programmes recently initiated, and assessed the impact of proposed policy and programmes ex-ante on poverty. As part of the assessment OPM conducted a Financial Services Survey which investigated the formal and informal financial instruments used by poor households in general, and the impact of microfinance services on beneficiary households in particular.
