Project Information
The House of Commons International Development Select Committee held an inquiry into fair and ethical trade and its impact on development. The Committee asked a number of very specific questions, ranging from the impacts of donor funding for fair trade, the role of trade unions in fair and ethical trade to how government procurement guidelines support the development of the fair trade market and the role of supermarkets and the private sector. The OPM consultant provided information and analysis to inform DFID’s memorandum to the IDC and briefing for ministers and officials giving evidence to the inquiry.
