Project Information

Working with LMC International, OPM undertook a study for DFID to provide an assessment of the likely economic and social impacts of preference erosion on ACP beneficiaries of the Sugar Protocol, and to consider different options for assistance strategies to address these impacts. The study was used by DFID to lobby the European Commission and EU member states. OPM’s contribution to the study focused on considering the options for assistance strategies for ACP beneficiaries of the Sugar Protocol. The report was presented by the consultants at a seminar for Whitehall officials.
