Trade and poverty

Director, Economic Policy

Stephen Jones »

A recurring theme through most of our trade policy work has been a careful consideration of the complex linkages between trade policy reform and poverty in developing countries. In addition, we were recently commissioned by DFID to produce a conceptual framework for the analysis of the relationships between trade, livelihoods and food security with a view to identifying policy options for ensuring that trade policy works in support of development objectives, in particular poverty reduction.
