OPM supported a team in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoH&FW) to prepare options for modernising Bangladesh health, nutrition and population services. The options considered included delivery strategies for health services to cater for consumer needs in low and high density areas; ways of exploiting provider comparative advantages; strategies for restructuring and improving the productivity of the workforce; service commissioning and contracting options; funding strategies and organisational options for MoH&FW and for decentralised health service management.
