Project Information

OPM led the team that reviewed the performance of the Ghana health sector in 2002, the first year of the second SWAp programme of work. The review focused mainly on early results from new policy initiatives in community health care and health insurance, on health labour market issues, on unresolved issues in organisational restructuring and on challenges associated with the implementation of the Ghana Poverty Reduction Strategy in the health sector. The review team also prepared reports and proposed recommendations on fee exemptions, on health insurance and on the implementation of contracts with private health care providers.
