Health Financing and Economic Analysis
The application of health economics to solve practical problems is a core competence of the health portfolio. The emphasis of this work is to assist clients to develop incentive frameworks for organisations and individuals that will encourage the achievement of overall objectives for access, equity, effectiveness, and efficiency.
Much of the recent work has focussed on assessing demand-side barriers to access, evaluating alternative financing options, provider payment mechanisms, labour market incentives, and health service actual and normative costing.
