Health Human Resource Development and Management
OPM welcomes the renewed international interest in the area of health human resources and the recognition of human resources as a primary determinant of effectiveness in health systems. OPM work includes the human resource elements of comprehensive planning; long term human resource development planning; studies of health worker motivation; design of specific human resource development plans,; competence based approaches to recruitment, retention and development of health workers; support to systems development for human resource management in health organisations.
