Project Information
The main objective of this project was to identify methodologies that can be used to estimate and analyse the impact of natural disasters on some key Millennium Development Goals. It used the case of Pakistan (the drought of 2000-01) to test three different approaches:
1) macroeconomic simulations with poverty projections in different scenarios;
2) micro-econometric simulations, and;
3) simple comparison of key MDG indicators before and after the disaster.
