Project Information

OPM was commissioned by the Department for International Development to carry out the international component of a study for the PARIS21 multi-agency task team on 'Improved Support for Monitoring Development Goals'. The particular aim of the study was to highlight problems and propose options that could improve the quality and availability of the data reported at international level for key MDG indicators. OPM's specific role involved identifying actions to improve the availability, timeliness, coherence and quality of international MDG data. The study focussed on data availability, inconsistencies in definitions, and comparability of national and international sources through an examination of existing processes for collecting and disseminating international MDG indicator data.
