OPM provided technical support to the Ministry of Health working group that had responsibility for developing the health inequalities profile. The OPM consultant supported the team in outlining a conceptual framework for the analysis, bringing together published data and identifying gaps and weaknesses in the existing data. Support was provided in planning and prioritising the additional data analysis requirements and in undertaking some of this analysis. The focus of the analysis was on using the data to identify priority problems and to inform the subsequent development of policy.
