Summary:
OPM was contracted by UNICEF to carry out an analysis of the performance of Senegal’s second-generation Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (PRSP, 2006-2010), as well as associated sector strategies, Medium-Term Expenditure Frameworks (MTEF), annual ministry workplans and government budget in terms of their responsiveness to child poverty and child protection issues.
The aim was to enable UNICEF staff in Senegal to become more knowledgeable on budget policy issues in order to use evidence-based advocacy to help translate sector strategies aimed at advancing child rights within line ministries into budget allocations and actual expenditures.
