Summary:
This study analyses appropriate governance structures and approaches for disaster risk reduction that could enable countries to make progress in the implementation of development interventions that are resilient to disasters and reduce disaster risk.  This study produced two background reports to the Global Assessment Report 2011: Decentralisation and disaster risk reduction and a Political Economy Analysis of disaster risk reduction. Location: Colombia, Indonesia, South Africa and Mozambique.
