Summary:
The overall objective was to pilot the new OECD-DAC evaluation methodology to assess the impact and effectiveness of budget support operations.  Thereafter the methodology will be finalized and become the common tool for assessing the budgetary support.  The work included: (i) Conducting an evaluation of budget support operations in Mali and providing management recommendations for future budget support operations; and (ii) Implementing the new methodological approach to the evaluation of budget support operations in order to assess the applicability and draw lessons. OPM’s role was to assess the impact of budget support on the macro economy.
