Summary:
OPM were contracted by the World Bank to undertake a survey of maternal health in two districts in West Java. The survey focussed on referral decisions and pathways in the event of complications, knowledge and use of health insurance and satisfaction with the health care system. This baseline survey was undertaken prior to the implementation of improvements in referral networks in the two districts and a follow up survey is anticipated.
