Summary:
As part of the ENGAGE consortium, OPM provided the team leader (principally responsible for drafting the report) and a researcher for a study reviewing the experience of international support to infrastructure in fragile and conflict-affected states. The study involved a review of literature, the development of a conceptual framework, and the synthesis of findings from case studies conducted by other consortium members in Afghanistan, DRC, Nepal and South Sudan. The study sought to identify the main lessons emerging from research and experience, and to assess the strength of the evidence base for these lessons. The study was presented at a seminar in DFID in July 2012.
