his study had two broad objectives: to develop a framework that can evaluate different types of statistical interventions in different country contexts to document existing evidence regarding what type of support to statistical capacity building is most effective and sustainable, to feed into the High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness in Accra OPM undertook the following tasks: Conducted literature review on support to statistical capacity building Developed a draft framework for analysing support to statistical capacity building based on the literature review and the DAC Evaluation criteria. The framework offered potential for retrospective evaluation of support offered and situation analysis to identify areas where support is needed Carried out case studies of support to statistical capacity building to test and refine framework. Case studies involved primary research in Zambia, Niger, Cambodia, DFID and Sida and secondary desk research in 5 other countries Presented draft framework in time to feed into the High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness in Accra
