Oxford Policy Management is a leading specialist consulting firm specialising in evidence-based policy research, advice and implementation support within international development and public policy in the developing world.
Our Public Sector Finance and Management Programme (PSFM) provides services covering: Public Financial Management, Public Administration, and Regional Development and Local Government. We are now looking to recruit a Senior Consultant to develop our work on Human Resources and Organisational Development. The recruitment is for a full time position based in our Oxford office and will require short-term international travel.
Candidates should posess the following:
- An excellent academic record including a degree and a post-graduate qualification;
- Ideally, membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development or an equivalent body';
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in an international environment;
- A strong knowledge and understanding of issues of policy and practice relating to the management of public sector organisations and an ability to apply this knowledge analytically and practically in a consulting context;
- Ability to work with a high degree of professional and managerial independence, while discussing and agreeing with the PMA Portfolio Leader overall technical approaches to projects and project work plans;
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients, both verbally and in writing, and to work effectively as part of a team; and
- Ideally, ability to work in at least one foreign language (French, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese or Arabic).
