Oxford Policy Management is a leading specialist consulting firm specialising in evidence-based policy research, advice and implementation support within international development and public policy in the developing world.

Our Public Sector Finance and Management Programme (PSFM) provides services covering: Public Financial Management, Public Administration, and Regional Development and Local Government. We are now looking to recruit a Senior Consultant to develop our work on Public Management Accountability. The recruitment is for a full time position based in our Oxford office and will require short-term international travel.

Candidates should posess the following:

An excellent academic record including a degree and a post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline;
At least 10 years of relevant experience in an international environment;
A strong knowledge and understanding of issues of policy and practice relating to the management and reform of public sector organisations and an ability to apply this knowledge analytically and practically in a consulting context;
Ability to work with a high degree of professional and managerial independence while discussing and agreeing with the PMA Portfolio Leader overall techincal approaches to projects and project work plans;
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients, both verbally and in writing, and to work effectively as part of a team; and
Ideally, ability to work in at least one foreign language (French, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese or Arabic).
