India’s Bihar Child Support Programme (BCSP) was a conditional cash transfer programme, aimed at improving child nutrition outcomes in Bihar, one of India’s poorest states.
Our impact evaluation showed that BCSP had significant effects on the proportion of children who were wasted and underweight, and the proportion of mothers who were underweight and anaemic.
