Agriculture and food security
Food security is vital for addressing the problem of malnutrition, and this is linked to a nation’s agricultural profile. For many low- and middle-income countries, agriculture is not only a source of food, but also a major contributor to income and employment.
We work with governments to ensure that public expenditure on agriculture is effective, sustainable, and environmentally responsible. We combine a strong emphasis on evidence with a multi-sectoral approach to implement and scale up food programmes inclusively and cost-effectively.
