Many national statistical offices in low- and middle-income countries find themselves under pressure from donors to produce the data required to monitor the effectiveness of donors’ aid, as opposed to the data needed for policymakers. Our outcome-focused approach, understanding of statistical systems, and insights into statistical planning are crucial to bridge this gap and help enhance the effectiveness and integrity of national statistical systems.
