OPM Kenya

Our Kenya office delivers and supports programmes in Kenya and the wider region of eastern Africa, combining international sectoral knowledge with responsive services.

Our work in Kenya encompasses a wide variety of sectors, including governance, health, education, social protection, public finance management, natural resources and energy, and monitoring and evaluation (M&E).

We have worked in Kenya since the 1980s, focusing on strengthening the evidence base for policymaking and programming to alleviate poverty, and supporting the development and implementation of national social protection policies. Since the early 2000s, our main focus in Kenya has been on social protection, but our M&E experience has also enabled us to provide technical assistance to government.

We act as a hub for workshops and meetings, and provide operations and technical support on evaluations and research. Donors and development partners we have worked with have included FCDO, the EU, the World Bank, UN agencies, the MasterCard Foundation, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and national and regional governments.
