Aly Visram leads our Nutrition team. Much of Aly’s recent work has involved impact and operational evaluations of cash transfer, food stamp, and nutrition programmes. He has led and worked on quasi-experimental impact evaluations in Kazakhstan, Kenya, Mongolia, and Nigeria.
Aly also works on the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks. In Mongolia, he is providing direct monitoring and evaluation, and operational support to the Food Stamps Programme and in Pakistan he developed a performance-based monitoring framework for a large maternal and child health intervention in Sindh. Aly recently conducted a review of demand-side interventions to inform the design of a DFID-funded cash transfer programme for pregnant women in Zambia.
Aly has an MSc Public Health in Developing Countries from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
