As Acting Director of Consultants, Ben is responsible for overseeing OPM's consulting activities that support low and middle-income countries’ pursuit of inclusive and resilient socio-economic development. Ben has over 12 years' experience building lasting international partnerships, and operationalising diverse, international organisations to deliver impact. Ben played a key role in building OPM's Public Sector Governance practice, growing the team across six countries, with a £40 million project pipeline, including one of the UK Government's flagship governance programmes.
Having represented the British Mission in Pakistan, Ben has experience both within the UK Government and working with governments in fragile and conflict-affected environments. Ben played a key role in building a collaborative and complementary network across business, politics and civil society, that deepened the UK's relationship in Punjab to deliver significant social impact. He advised the Minister of Finance and the Economic Advisor to the President in South Sudan during the transition to independence in 2011, as well as providing advice on public sector reform to the Budget Secretary in Myanmar.
Ben has worked extensively on across sectors on public policy implementation, strategic communications, and organisational development, to help governments develop innovative solutions to public policy challenges. He has worked in India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, South Sudan, Uganda, and the United Kingdom, and holds an MSc from the London School of Economics in Development Management, a BA in Economics from Dalhousie University in Canada, and is currently studying for a Masters in Business Administration at the University of Bath.
