Bernadette Sexton joined OPM as CEO in January 2020. She has spent her career working to improve the delivery of public services through supporting strategic planning, good governance, institution building, and transformation.
Bernadette has supported development agencies and governments including DFID, FCO, World Bank, Danida, Irish Aid, among others, on a wide range of economic and social development topics. For this, she has been recognised for her inpact in shaping the aid and development sector by DevEx as one of London's top 40 international development leaders under 40 years of age. She has a deep interest in development aid effectiveness, poverty alleviation, and inclusion of marginalised groups.
Outside of OPM, Bernadette is the Vice-Chairwoman of Concern UK and a member of its Audit and Finance Committee. She sits on the Board of Directors of Concern Worldwide.
Bernadette holds her MSc from King’s College London, MBA from the University of Bath, and BA from the University of Limerick.
