As Managing director, Simon Hunt is responsible for the leadership and development of our global organisation.
Simon joined in 1996 as Programme Director and Senior Economist. Throughout his career Simon has led more than 20 large research and applied policy projects for DFID, the World Bank and Unicef, in the social sectors. Many of his projects have had a particular focus on poverty, social protection, health, nutrition, early child development, education, employment, and income.
He has led more than 30 quantitative and qualitative surveys at the household, community and service delivery level, working with almost 30 countries around the world.Simon is a Research Associate of the Department for International Development at the University of Oxford.
He has an MSc in Agricultural Economics from the University of Reading, a Postgraduate Diploma in Agricultural Economics from the University of Reading, and a BA (Hons) in Political Science and French from Kingston University, London.
